While Rip is a very new comfort character, hes done a lot to make me feel safe and validated in the short time ive had him. Hes everything i've desired and his personality brings me a strong sense of familiarity and security i havent felt in quite a long time. Everything about him just makes me feel so warm and loved and at moments I feel convinced that he was made just for me.

Snake was my first romantic interest at 11 years old and quickly became a comfort character. When I first started self shipping with him I was overcoming a lot of abuse, neglect, and a near death experience. I saw him as a nurturing and romantic figure in my life and continue to do so.

Taizo has been a comfort character since December of 2010 and I started romantically self shipping with him November 2019. He as well has helped me overcome and cope with trauma I've had both old and new.

Throughout my life ive suffered from CSA, grooming, physical abuse, neglect, bullying, and more that has resulted in long lasting mental issues and C-PTSD. I cant find ways to cope in real life and rely on fiction in day to day life for comfort. I'd like to think that my boys would be there for me in my time of need as I would do the same for them :') I could go on about how we help each other cope but this is already pretty long and I still have shit to say!
